Moana Teddy Bears

Just as there were pink Hawaiian teddy bears in the Royal Hawaiian's Gift Shop,

 

 

 

 

There were blue teddy bears in the Moana Surfrider giftshop.

 

 

 

Their shop is called, Accents.

 

 

 

They have a very charming way of displaying their teas and chocolates. (yummmmmmmm.)

 

 

 

 

And of course, their Hawaiian teddy bears.

 

 

 

I will share some more pictures from Accents in my next post.

I love the various shades of pink in the rose petals and the cracks running through the background.

The First Lady of Waikiki

When I was in Hawaii,

 

 

 

 

I fell in love with another of Waikiki's historical treasures.

 

 

 

The Moana Surfrider Resort. 

 

 

 

As I walked closer to it, I seemed to be time traveling back to the early 1900's.

 

 

 

Since I have lived in the South a bit, it reminded me of the old southern houses with wooden rockers on the porch.

 

 

 

I am always fascinated by the light fixtures in these historical hotels.

 

 

 

This beautiful resort is 111 years old.

 

And is often called, "The First Lady of Waikiki".

 

 

It was the very first resort built in Waikiki.

 

 

 

As you walk around, you can see the antiquities of yesteryear.

 

 

 

 

What is amazing is the contrast this white treasure has with the blue Pacific Ocean.

The Truth about Beautiful People . . .

I came across this quote by Elisabeth Kübler - Ross a few days ago.

 

Needless to say, it struck a chord with me.

 

And so, another design was born . . .
